The Canalyzer RTLI brings an innovative approach to label inspection.
The RTLI is designed to smoothly integrate into a line immediately after
a roll through labeler. As the can rolls through the inspection area,
it is tested for the presence of a label (shiner), improper glue application (flapper)
and loose labels. Bar code verification and OCR verification (optical character recognition)
are available through optional add-on modules. The bar code module insures that
the correct label is applied to the can. The OCR module reads the printed code
on the can and matches it against the data read by the bar code module.
Using both the bar code and the OCR modules verifies that the label matches the product
in the can, virtually eliminating the possibility of incorrect labels being applied.
If defects exist, the can is ejected from the line by an integrated progressing door eject system.

Control
The Canalyzer RTLI is simple to setup and will accommodate any can size
from 202 to 603. Changeover between can sizes and types is quick and easy.
The setup for different labels consists of “One Touch Training” which makes
day to day operation simple. The sensing components are fixed to a system of
linear slides, making re-positioning of the sensors for changeovers easy.
The track can be opened or closed for can height changes with the use of linked
handwheels. The eject system is electric; no air is needed to operate the machine.
